Medical Scheduled: Arsenal on the Verge of Signing ‘Incredible’ Bargain £60k-a-Week Star – Romano

Leandro Trossard, Arsenal target, taking a shot

According to Fabrizio Romano, the £27 million Leandro Trossard Arsenal transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion is complete pending a scheduled medical. The Belgian has been described as ‘incredible’ for his creativity and solidity in midfield for both his nation and the Seagulls. Whilst Trossard currently reportedly earns £60k-per-week, this is sure to increase with a lucrative contract in North London.

Leandro Trossard Arsenal Move Complete

Why the Leandro Trossard Arsenal Move Happened?

After Chelsea’s completion of the Mykhailo Mudryk deal, Arsenal reacted quickly. The Leandro Trossard Arsenal deal is one that adds more depth to the Gunners all across the front line, with the Belgian playing in attacking midfield and drifting over to the flanks when necessary. The fee is significantly less than the Blues paid for their new Ukrainian winger. Not only are the North London club securing proven Premier League quality, but they are doing so at a far lower cost.

Why is Leandro Trossard So Cheap?

In comparison to other moves across the Premier League, Leandro Trossard is a bargain at £27 million. A few days ago, The Guardian reported that the player felt like his manager humiliated him and started pushing for a move. With Brighton & Hove Albion on good form, and presumably with a healthy dressing room atmosphere, the Seagulls getting the Belgian out quickly is an obvious solution before any issues arise.

What Next for Arsenal?

Although Arsenal look comfortable at the top of the league, this isn’t a guarantee of success. The Gunners have two matches against Manchester City in quick succession which could sink their season if they go poorly. Sky News are reporting that the club is looking for a central midfielder to provide solidity, with Declan Rice being one of the main names in contention. The North Londoners have enough quality in their first team to take the title, and building more squad depth could be enough to make fans, and Mikel Arteta, feel more comfortable.
