This comes after Romano revealed that the Blues had signed another forward, with their chase of Molde star Datro Fofana given the coveted “here we go” on Thursday.

Nkunku Set to Join Chelsea Next Year
The Blues have acted swiftly in signing the highly talented forward after watching his evolution in the Bundesliga over the last year or so. The deal is now done, with all necessary paperwork being signed by the relevant parties.
Nkunku can now be considered a future Chelsea player, with the deal 100% agreed upon between both clubs. It’s been signed off by the German club as well as by the player’s entourage. The 25-year-old will spend the entirety of this season with Leipzig before joining the Premier League heavyweights next summer.

Todd Boehly worked really hard to get this deal over the line before other clubs could make a move for Nkunku. He even had the forward undergo his medicals in secret and quickly finalized personal terms with him, helping them accelerate the deal when the transfer window was still closed.
Nkunku’s Impressive Career So Far
The 25-year-old forward has had a really impressive career with RB Leipzig so far and has been one of the most prolific players in Europe over the last few seasons. He’s scored 17 goals and provided four assists in just 21 games across all competitions this campaign, with his amazing goal-scoring ability and consistency attracting Chelsea to quickly secure his signing.

Nkunku also boasts superb numbers for the Bundesliga side across a longer period, scoring 64 goals and providing 51 assists in 159 appearances for them. He was a favourite to play for France at the Qatar World Cup before a nasty injury sustained in training ended his dreams. However, the Frenchman is expected to bounce back strongly from that setback and will be gunning to take the Premier League by storm next season.
