Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at Manchester United’s senior executives and manager Erik ten Hag for trying to force him out of the club. This comes after the Portuguese forward missed the Red Devils’ last Premier League game against Fulham, which they won 2-1.

Ronaldo Trashes Ten Hag and United Executives
The 37-year-old sat down with Piers Morgan for a tell-all interview about everything that has been going on around his situation at Old Trafford. He hit out at the Dutch manager and also those in the management positions at the club.
Ronaldo told Piers Morgan Uncensored: “Manchester United tried to force me out. Not only the manager but also the other guys who are around the club. I felt betrayed. I feel that some people didn’t want me at Manchester United, not only this year but last season too.”

When further pressed about why he walked out on his teammates in United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last month, the Portuguese star stated: “I don’t have respect for Erik ten Hag because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I will never have any for you.”
He also gave a shocking verdict on the Red Devils’ former interim manager from last season, Ralf Rangnick, saying: “If you’re not even a coach, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I’d never even heard of him.”
Beginning of the End for Ronaldo?
This interview almost feels like the final nail in the coffin of Ronaldo’s second stint at Old Trafford. He’s now burned bridges with the manager, the senior executives and members of the squad as well. The Portuguese forward has had a very frustrating campaign after refusing to show up to the pre-season tour of Australia and also trying to push forward a departure from United in the summer.

The Portuguese forward has only scored three goals in 16 appearances for United this season and was described as ‘phenomenal’ by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer after scoring his 800th career goal in his first (and only) Premier League goal of the season in his side’s 2-1 win over Everton. After these comments, it feels like a matter of time before Ronaldo’s contract is terminated and the Red Devils look to sign a replacement in the January transfer window.
