With some speculating over whether the Bavarians – who have a history of signing quality players from their direct German rivals – will make a move for Bellingham, Kahn has seemingly ended all the rumours. He told BILD: “We are not thinking about it at all. Of course, Bellingham is an outstanding player. But we’ve Kimmich, Goretzka, Gravenberch, Sabitzer. I can say we’re well-equipped in that position.”

Bayern have a stacked squad right now, but there is belief that they can potentially improve their midfield with a world-class player like Bellingham. But with Dortmund likely to demand a major fee to let go of their star midfielder, the Bundesliga giants have decided against pursuing a move for the Englishman and open up the race for him – which should mostly involve the Premier League sides as well as La Liga giant Real Madrid.

Bellingham Set to Attract a Transfer War Next Year

After his rise in the Bundesliga, the 19-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming midfielders of his generation. He is attracting a lot of interest from multiple European giants, including major teams from the Premier League. Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move for Bellingham, while Chelsea are also ready to rival any side for him. Liverpool are reportedly fancying their chances to sign him and Real Madrid are also confident of securing a summer move for the teenager.

He is set to force an all-out transfer war for himself next summer if he opts to leave Dortmund. The 19-year-old was called a ‘special talent’ who should have ‘everything built around him’ by ex-England winger Andros Townsend recently and has already made 17 appearances for England. He’s also made 102 appearances for the German side, scoring 14 goals and providing 20 assists.
