One of the recent swings in the transfer window has revolved around Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic who has attracted interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United.
According to Fabrizio Romano, this situation will be resolved quickly as a “decision will be made soon” amid interest from two Premier League teams. Romano’s report indicates that both inquiries for the winger involved loan deals rather than permanent moves.

The Blues are reportedly hesitant to accept a loan offer from a rival team like the Red Devils. It hasn’t helped that the Manchester side’s only serious contact was made a week ago. The Magpies also get a mention in the Pulisic sweepstakes but Romano doesn’t provide many details, possibly because there aren’t any.

While there is certainly interest in keeping the American in the English league, neither club are beating down Todd Boehly’s door yet.

Chelsea Woes
After a breakout stint with Borussia Dortmund, the 23-year-old made the move to Stamford Bridge with significant expectations on his shoulders. Following the departure of Eden Hazard, the £58 million signing was seen as the successor to one of Chelsea’s best ever. Expecting a player so young to fill the boots of Hazard was likely a recipe for disaster from day one.

Despite making 118 appearances in a blue shirt Pulisic has rarely been one of the first names on the team sheet. His tally of 25 goals is also a lot less than the contributions fans were used to from his predecessor. The American winger has talent, but it’s unlikely he will get to show it when competing with Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling, and other attacking options.
