Aubameyang Focused On Return to London Amid Hunger for Champions League Football
The 33-year-old striker is tempted by the Blues’ offer after realising that he won’t exactly be a regular starter for Barcelona following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich. A major demand from Aubameyang’s side is Champions League football, which Chelsea can guarantee him this season.

Despite mounting interest from Manchester United for his services as well, the Gabonese international is focused on only joining Chelsea. He has plenty of experience playing in the Premier League as well, having scored 68 goals in 128 appearances for Arsenal before leaving the Gunners earlier this summer.
Chelsea Ready to Make Formal Offer for Aubameyang’s Acquisition
The Blues recently made an £11.8 million verbal bid to get a feel of whether Barcelona will be ready to sell Aubameyang for that kind of an amount, reports Relevo. However, they are now expected to take things to a bigger level by presenting a formal offer to the Spanish giants in an attempt to convince them to green-light the forward’s departure.
For negotiations to even move forward, then all the parties involved will have to at least come to a verbal agreement that they are ready to get a deal done. Chelsea are pushing for this move to happen as they are currently in dire need of a new striker after loaning out Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and selling Timo Werner to RB Leipzig.

Tuchel can’t rely on Kai Havertz to lead his forward line through the season and needs a prolific scorer like Aubameyang in his score. The 33-year-old – who was called a ‘gift from the sky’ by Xavi Hernandez last season – is a bonified goal machine, having scored 310 goals in his club career and 30 international goals in 73 appearances for Gabon as well.
