Chelsea striker Timo Werner could leave the English side in the summer transfer window reports Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenburg. The German international is craving regular minutes to boost his chances of being a starter for his country in the Qatar World Cup later this year.
Timo Werner Departure From Chelsea Could Really Happen
Werner Attracting Interest From Juventus
According to Fabrizio Romano, Serie A giants Juventus have the 26-year-old striker on their transfer wishlist for the summer. In fact, they had even discussed the possibility of potentially signing Werner when Chelsea approached them in an attempt to negotiate a deal for Matthijs de Ligt, who eventually joined Bayern Munich.

Werner could be attracted to a move to the Serie A, but only if promised regular playing time.
A Possible Return to RB Leipzig Being Considered by German International
Another club interested in signing the German forward is his former side, RB Leipzig. Indeed, the team that had sold the 26-year-old for around £47.6 million to Chelsea back in 2020 are now looking to get him back.
Werner would be willing to make a return to the side where he made a name for himself. His name was discussed when Chelsea attempted to hijack Paris Saint-Germain’s move for Nordi Mukiele.

However, PSG eventually won the battle to sign Mukiele and Chelsea backed out of negotiations. The Bundesliga side still remain hopeful of convincing the Premier League giants as well as the striker himself to get the deal done before the start of the new season in August.
Werner’s Relationship With Thomas Tuchel ‘Breaks Down’
The Sky Sports report also claims that Werner is no longer on good terms with manager Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge. In fact, the German gaffer is no longer a fan of the forward and does not consider him as a key player in his squad anymore.

That’s why the London giants can’t guarantee him regular playing time anymore and as such the German international is seeking to join a club where he can consistently start games.
