Italian Striker Close to Joining West Ham
West Ham have enjoyed a tough pre-season on and off the pitch, missing out on some key targets, but the East London club will be delighted to agree a fee for their priority attacking target Scamacca.
The Italian international is scheduled to visit the Premier League club to meet David Moyes in the coming days, with a medical set to take place during that time.
If West Ham can complete the signing of Scamacca, this would end the club’s interest in Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to BBC journalist Simon Stone.
The Hammers manager has identified the Sassuolo striker as a priority and will be hoping the club can conclude a deal for the ‘new Zlatan‘ as soon as possible.

What Gianluca Scamacca Will Bring to the London Stadium
Scamacca has enjoyed a meteoric rise to become one of the most talked about strikers in Europe. The 23-year-old scored 16 goals in 36 games last season in Serie A, leading to many clubs expressing a serious interest in the Italian striker, including Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham.
Throughout last season he showed his qualities in abundance, especially his instinct in front of goal. He also uses his height well and dominates aerially, winning countless flick-ons and scoring headed goals.
He has worked hard on his movement, which showed last season that he is not afraid to run in behind or drift out wide much like a ‘young Zlatan’. He’s also comfortable playing with his back to goal and bringing teammates into the attack.
