Newly-promoted Nottingham Forest have been active in this transfer window and they have now added a tenth new addition with the signing of free-agent Jesse Lingard. The former Manchester United man appeared to be on the move to West Ham United before being offered a better deal.
A report from The Times details that the former Manchester United man had a much-higher contract offer on the table from his new club. The team reportedly offered a wage packed of “slightly less than £200,000 a week,” which is significantly higher than the offer from East London.
