Manchester United Women have confirmed the signing of Maya Le Tissier from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 20-year-old defender has signed a three-year contract with the Red Devils.
United have reportedly paid a fee to sign Le Tissier, who previously attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, from Brighton.

‘Special’ Move – Maya Le Tissier
Maya Le Tissier told manutd.com: “It’s very special for me to come to a club like Manchester United.
“The ambition and values of the club suit me as a person and it’s a very exciting project here that I want to be a part of.
“Today is a very proud moment for me and I can’t wait to pull on the famous red shirt.”
Head coach Marc Skinner added: “The recruitment of Maya to Manchester United is a continued sign of this football club’s ambition.
“Maya is a player that we have been monitoring for a while, and as expected she is developing into one of the brightest young players in the country.
“We now look forward to starting pre-season and embedding Maya into our team.”
Le Tissier, born in Guernsey, has represented England at various youth levels and carries a considerable amount of potential.

She spent four years at Brighton, gathering interest from some of the Women’s Super League’s leading clubs as stated previously.
The defender is United’s fourth signing of the summer after Adriana Leon, Rachel Williams and Grace Clinton.
Club captain Katie Zelem recently signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The Telegraph’s Tom Garry reports that United agreed to pay Le Tissier’s release clause, said to be in the region of £50,000-£60,000.
Manchester United Women are due to take part in the Women’s French Cup in Toulouse for pre-season ahead of starting the WSL campaign away at Tottenham Hotspur.
