Tottenham Hotspur Almost Had Richarlison Transfer Hijacked By Chelsea
Spurs Move Quickly to Ensure Richarlison Deal Goes Through
After being made aware of how the Blues were trying to sign Richarlison, Spurs were forced to operate really quickly to dish out an agreement with Everton for the 25-year-old attacker. The Lilywhites have reportedly reached a complete agreement with the Merseyside club over the deal and will pay around £60 million (including add-ons) for the Brazilian.
Richarlison will also become their second-most expensive signing ever once the deal goes through. He has already agreed personal terms with Spurs and is more than eager to make a move to Antonio Conte’s side.

Everton will also be able to make a small profit on Richarlison, having signed him from Watford in 2018 for around £50 million themselves.
Brazilian forward Set for Medicals
The 25-year-old attacker will undergo his medicals soon before being able to finalise the deal. However, as he is currently on holiday in his home country of Brazil, Richarlison will have his medicals in Brazil after the Lilywhites set up an arrangement.

Richarlison will then later fly back into the UK to do all the necessary signatures needed to complete the move. He is expected to be a part of Antonio Conte’s side’s pre-season tour in July before the start of the Premier League season.
Tottenham Outperforming Their Rivals in Summer Transfer Business
Tottenham have been extremely proactive when it comes to strengthening their squad in the summer transfer window. They’ve already signed Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free deals. The Lilywhites are now expected to make their first big acquisition of the summer in the form of Richarlison for a major fee.
But Conte’s side will not be done there. Spurs are also looking to bolster their defence and are closing in on a move for Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet. They are also on the hunt for a new right-back and are trying to get a deal done to sign Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence.

Conte was insistent towards the end of last season that Spurs will have to make the signings he wants for him to stay at the club next season. It looks like they received the message loud and clear, resulting in the Lilywhites now outperforming all their Premier League rivals in the window.
