Porto Star Heading for Paris
Vitinha will join the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in the French capital. PSG’s midfield has been criticised this year and it is hoped that Vitinha will bolster their options for the foreseeable future.

It comes as PSG have reportedly hijacked a deal for fellow Portugal international, Renato Sanches. Sanches had been expected to sign for AC Milan but has had his head turned by the French champions. An initial €10 million (£8.5 million) bid has reportedly been made, although Lille were expecting €15 million (£12.8 million) from Milan. If they can pull it off, the Portuguese pair would add youth to an ageing PSG midfield.
Chasing the Champions League
PSG remain on the hunt for a first Champions League trophy after a Karim Benzema hat-trick sent them home in the quarter finals last season. After taking over in 2021, Mauricio Pochettino was quoted in The Times as saying: “With the talent we have at PSG, if we don’t win the Champions League, I’ll feel I’ve failed.”

However, it could be down to the imminent arrival of Christophe Galtier to secure European glory for Les Parisiens. After securing the long-term future of French star Kylian Mbappe, adding creativity and youth to the midfield will tick off another transfer window task.
Vitinha’s brand of technical play will work brilliantly in the French capital, supplying intelligent through balls for their attackers. Expect a bucket-load of assists this season.
