According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United target Vitinha has completed a move to Paris Saint Germain. The French giants have activated the youngster’s €40m release clause. He won the league with Porto last season and has Premier League experience, having spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Vitinha One Step Away From Transfer to Paris Saint-Germain
Manchester United are keen to add reinforcements in midfield following some noticeable departures, including Paul Pogba. The Red Devils were discussing personal terms with Vitinhas representatives before Paris Saint-Germain chief Luís Campos made it clear to the player that he was their priority in midfield.
Manchester United are considerably lighter in midfield than they were last year. Their interest in Frenkie de Jong has been well documented. Paris Saint-Germain showed their intent quickly and have gazumped the Old Trafford side to sign one of the best young midfielders in Europe.
Manchester United Are Missing Out
United struggled in midfield last year, and with several departures this summer, they are in need of reinforcements. The lure of Champions League football has seemingly swayed Vitinha to choose Paris as his next destination.
Vitinha would have provided Erik ten Hag with vital strength in depth in the midfield area. He has experience in the Premier League from his spell on loan at Wolves. At just 22 years old, Vitinhas intelligence on and off the ball is impressive, and alongside his range of passing these are two of his best assets. Throughout Porto’s title-winning charge, Vitinha showed his excellent passing ability when switching the play.
The Portuguese midfielder is a ball player, looking to get on the ball and keep the play ticking over. When playing as a number 8, his ability to link up with teammates and his ability to pick out incisive passes to them in the final third has made him a wanted man throughout Europe.
He would have added a touch of class to the Manchester United midfield that is lacking strength in depth.
