A report from The Telegraph has credited a trio of Premier League clubs with interest in RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.
The Croatia international, a left-footed centre-back, has attracted the attention of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Player
Gvardiol made 46 appearances for RB Leipzig this season, playing an integral part. He scored two goals and assisted a further two. He is predominantly a left-footed centre-back but can fill in at left-back too.
The RB Leipzig defender is said to have an estimated cost of between £40 – 50 million.

It’s already been reported that Chelsea are looking to add a left-sided defender to their back three and that makes Gvardiol a real option.
The 20-year-old has already been capped 10 times by Croatia and previously played for Dinamo Zagreb, where he went back on loan before starting life in the Bundesliga. He played 52 games for the side that play in the city of his birth, scoring four and assisting three.
Manchester United are obviously looking to improve their defence and have also been linked with the likes of Ajax’s Jurrien Timber, who is familiar with new boss Erik ten Hag and Villarreal’s Pau Torres, who is also, like Gvardiol, left-footed.
Spurs are looking to strengthen in many departments making Gvardiol a viable addition for Antonio Conte, who faces an important summer and has already added Ivan Perisic to his squad from former club Inter Milan.
Gvardiol is often deployed on the left side of a back three for the German side and that will make him more attractive to sides looking to use that formation – something Thomas Tuchel and Conte often do.
