According to Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is weighing up contract offers from European powerhouses Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
The two clubs recently had a bidding war over Pogba’s French compatriot Kylian Mbappe, with Les Parisiens emerging as the winner in that saga. This report comes just a day after Italian media reported that Pogba was close to signing a three-year deal with Juventus, who are likely still favourites.

Paul Pogba Weighs up Offers From Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain
Free Transfer
In keeping with the major theme of this year’s summer window, Paul Pogba is a soon to be free agent, meaning that any club chasing him are coughing up only wages and any bonus signing fees rather than also having to pay a transfer fee.
Despite Pogba’s relatively unsuccessful return to Manchester, he is still a hot commodity in the world of football as evidenced by the tussle for his signature. As they say, class is permanent, and Pogba has shown his class time and again. During his time at Juventus, the French midfielder had a number of individual accolades to his name, including a spot in the UEFA and FIFPro Teams of the Year, a Golden Boy Award, and consecutive places in the Serie A team of the season. If Pogba can get close to recreating that level of performance then the limited risk of picking him up for free will be worth it.
Is He Needed?
Interest from Madrid and PSG comes with a big question, does either side need Paul Pogba? PSG already have a number of talented midfielders on hand including highly sought after prospect Xavi Simons. Madrid arguably need him even less.
Whilst Pogba weighs up offers from both clubs the prospect of returning to Juventus as a star player could potentially sway his decision.
