Footballing insider Fabrizio Romano has issued a Kylian Mbappe transfer update. Romano’s tweet states that: “Sources close to Kylian Mbappe deny any agreement reached with PSG… or Real Madrid. He’s still thinking about it with his family. Decision to be made soon.” This was followed up by a statement from Mbappe’s mother who represents the player which essentially echoed Romano’s sentiment: “There’s NO agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club. Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in the respect of all the parties”
Kylian Mbappe Transfer Update: No Decision Made Yet
PSG Hopeful They Can Keep Mbappe
Paris Saint-Germain were recently given hope of extending Mbappe’s contract with the club following talks with his mother. With this latest update on his future, though, it appears that these hopes have hit a snag as the player is still trying to make up his mind between his current home of PSG and Real Madrid, who have a long-held interest in the striker.
A Key Player
With Neymar likely remaining at PSG the French giants will be hoping to lock down their pacey young forward in order to make some strides towards finally capturing the Champions League trophy. Mbappe has been key to PSG’s domestic domination and could play a vital role in any deep European run. The Frenchman’s strike rate for PSG is fantastic, scoring 167 goals in 214 games in all competitions, a rate of almost 0.8 goals per game.
While two of Europe’s biggest titans battle it out for his signature, Mbappe is certainly taking his time in making his decision, and when the time comes he will surely choose whatever is best for him. With the incredible talent that he possesses, he will no doubt command massive money in some way.
