Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of a Kylian Mbappe contract extension following positive talks with his mother, who represents the French international, according to The Telegraph.
Rumours have swirled about the future of the French star with a number of top teams showing obvious interest in the forward. The Parisian club are now hopeful that they can lock down the striker for another few years despite the constant presence of Real Madrid, who have long been linked with a move for Mbappe.
PSG Hope Kylian Mbappe Contract Extension on the Cards
Well Laid Plans
With fellow megastar Neymar seemingly committing to the club for the remainder of his contract, locking down Kylian Mbappe will keep PGS’s fearsome offensive lineup together for years to come. If the club can keep Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi together then success will no doubt follow as they aim to reach the highest highs possible in Europe and continue their domination of the Ligue 1 which has seen them win the league seven times in the last ten years.
Contract Earned
While some may say that Lionel Messi has not delivered since joining PSG, there can be no doubt about the quality of Kylian Mbappe. Since making his initial loan move from Monaco to PSG in 2017, he has scored 165 goals in 213 games across all competitions. His contributions have been especially welcomed in Ligue 1 where he has a ridiculous strike rate of 113 goals in 138 games. If the club really aims to compete at the highest levels then it needs to keep hold of players like Mbappe who are consistently delivering on the pitch no matter the opposition. Certainly an output worthy of his £189 million transfer fee,
Mbappe also has the added benefit of knowing the league inside and out, he’s been in Ligue 1 for his entire footballing career and knows exactly what it takes to win the league.
