Doncaster Rovers have announced the signing of Huddersfield Town’s Ben Jackson on loan for the remainder of the season.
Jackson, 20, spent the second half of last season with Bolton Wanderers as they were promoted to League One.
He has made three senior appearances for Huddersfield Town, who will no doubt be keen to see him gain more experience.

Another Option at Left-Back
Jackson is primarily a left-back but has featured in other positions including left-midfield, right-back and centre-midfield.
He made five appearances for Bolton Wanderers in 2020/21 after joining in January, scoring his only goal in the last of those, a winner v Morecambe in April 2021.
Rovers have been using local talent Branden Horton at left-back or left-wing-back this season with little other option at manager Gary McSheffrey’s disposal, Jackson will come in and provide another alternative.
Before Bolton, Ben Jackson had a spell with Stockport County in the National League, making 24 appearances, also scoring once.
Jackson will fill Rovers’ final loan slot after the likes of Tiago Cukur and Pontus Dahlberg returned to their parent club, Watford.
Omar Bogle Finally Leaves Rovers
Meanwhile, it was confirmed last night that striker Omar Bogle had left Rovers.
Rovers can confirm that Omar Bogle has left the club by mutual consent.
Everyone at Rovers would like to thank Omar for his efforts and wish him the best for the future. 🔴⚪https://t.co/tlLBCMXVGY #DRFC pic.twitter.com/z7x1V2Ysea

Bogle was the subject of much attention this season after previous manager Richie Wellens demoted him and teammate, Ed Williams, out of his first-team plans.
Bogle outstayed Wellens at the club and did find a way back into the team under McSheffrey, however, his contract was mutually terminated to allow him to join Hartlepool United in League Two.
The 28-year-old striker scored three goals in 28 games for Doncaster.
Rovers added West Ham United striker Mipo Odubeko on loan hours before the announcement, giving them fresh life up-front.
