Ainsley Maitland-Niles will remain at Arsenal after being given reassurances about his future at the club, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.

‘Clear the Air Talks’
Maitland-Niles reportedly held clear the air talks with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta following doubts over his future.
The 24-year-old was keen on joining Everton, who had made a late swoop to take the player on loan. Maitland-Niles was keen to make the move to Goodison Park after doubts over his future at The Emirates Stadium.
After spending the second half of last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, Maitland-Niles confirmed his desire to the Gunners to play at right-back this season.
However, the situation took a when the 24-year-old took to Instagram to voice his opinion. He said: “All I wanna do is where I am wanted and where I am gonna play.”
Arsenal have a plethora of options at both right-back and central midfield, but after crisis talks with his manager, he has been given reassurances about his future at the club.
The versatile England international has had an unclear future since breaking into the Arsenal first-team. Speaking in 2020, he said to the Arsenal club website: “I’m an Arsenal player until I’m told otherwise. My heart is in this club and while I’m here I’m going to give 100% to the club, so that’s that.”
However, Maitland-Niles spent just six more months at The Emirates Stadium before heading out on loan for the second half of last season.
Earlier in the summer, he aired his doubts over his future in North London to the Birmingham Mail.
“I want a decision. I want some clarity and then hopefully I can get to work with whoever I need to get to work with,” he said. “Whether that is finding a new club or whether that is carrying on with my training.”
