Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Sevilla winger Bryan Gil on a permanent deal. As part of the move, Spurs’ Argentine midfielder Erik Lamela will move the other way. On top of that, Spurs have reportedly paid around €25 million for Gil, who has signed a contract until 2026.

Career So Far
Twenty-year-old Gil started his youth career at Barbate in his native Spain before moving to the academy at Sevilla in 2012.
He spent six years in the youth set-up before making his debut for Sevilla B in 2018, going on to appear 23 times for them and scoring four goals across one season.
In 2019, he made his debut for the first team when he came on as a substitute for Wissam Ben Yedder in a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid. He made ten more appearances in that season, all as a sub, and scored once in a 5-0 win against Rayo Vallecano.
Gil scored his first European goal in November 2019 when he netted in a Europa League fixture against Qarabag, which Sevilla went on to win 2-0.
In January of that season, he moved to Leganes on loan and scored in a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid, and he then spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Eibar, scoring four goals in 28 matches.
Spurs’ Summer
Gil becomes the second player to join Spurs this summer after they completed the capture of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini last week. The stopper joined on an initial loan deal from Atalanta.
They are also working on a deal to sign another Atalanta player in Cristian Romero, while a move for another centre back, Takehiro Tomiyasu, is still in progress.
