Football Transfer News: Jack Marriott, Ben Sheaf and Josh Martin
Marriott Returns to Posh
Jack Marriott has returned to Peterborough United on a three-year deal after leaving Derby County. The 26-year-old left the Posh in 2018 after a brilliant campaign to join Derby, where he excelled in the 2018/19 season under the management of Frank Lampard.
He failed to hit the same heights without Lampard at the helm and spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, who were relegated to League One.
Peterborough are back in the Championship and will be delighted to secure the services of a player who has proven that he can score goals at this level.

Speaking to the club website about his return, Marriott said: “I just want to play week in and week out and that is what I need.
“I was thrilled to see Peterborough get promotion to the Championship because they have worked so hard to achieve that and hopefully I can help with the next stage.”
Manager Darren Ferguson added: “He is at a good age, the last couple of seasons have been frustrating for him, but when I met him earlier in the week and discussed the potential move with him, he was very keen to make it happen.”
Coventry Make Sheaf Move Permanent
Coventry City have signed Ben Sheaf on a permanent deal from Arsenal after the midfielder spent last season on loan with the Sky Blues.
Sheaf joins Coventry for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract and brings to an end his seven-year stay with Arsenal.
The midfielder played 32 times last season as Mark Robins’ side easily avoided the drop and a direct return to League One.

On the move, manager Robins said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Ben back to Coventry City.
“He showed great potential at Arsenal which prompted us to sign him last season and he re-affirmed that during his loan spell.
“We’re delighted to add him to our squad on a permanent basis and look forward to working with him.”
Dons Dip into Loan Market
MK Dons have made their third and fourth signings of the summer with the loan additions of Josh Martin from Norwich City and Ethan Robson from Blackpool.
Martin made nine league appearances for the Canaries last season as they won the Championship title and he also scored his first second-tier goal in a 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday.
Robson, meanwhile, played 36 times for a Blackpool side that won promotion to the Championship via the League One play-offs.
They join fellow new signings Scott Twine and Franco Ravizzoli in arriving at Stadium MK this summer.
Milton Keynes Dons are delighted to announce the loan signing of Norwich City winger Josh Martin.
The 19-year-old, who helped the Canaries to the Sky Bet Championship title last season, will spend the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Stadium MK.
