Crystal Palace have confirmed that Vicente Guaita has signed a new contract with the club until 2023, with the option to extend for a further year.

Undisputed First-Choice
After failing to displace Wayne Hennessey during his first few months at Selhurst Park, the Spaniard is now firmly Roy Hodgson’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Guaita has been virtually ever-present in goal for Palace. In made 35 appearances in the 2019/20 Premier League season, missing only three games through injury. He holds the same record this season, having featured in all 21 games.
As a result of his performances, the Spaniard has become a popular figure among the fans at Selhurst Park. His shot-stopping for close-range and consistent performances have seen him highlighted as one of the most important players at the club.
The 34-year-old’s consistent performances have seen him make a total of 80 appearances for the club, keeping 24 clean sheets in total.

After signing his new deal, Guiata told the official Crystal Palace website: “I am so happy to extend my time at Crystal Palace with my contract until 2023.
Meanwhile, Steve Parish, the club’s chairman, said: “I am delighted that Vicente has committed his future to Crystal Palace.
“He is an extremely talented goalkeeper whose contribution has been invaluable over the last few seasons and I am sure will continue to be so in the upcoming months and years.”
