Preston Confirm Loan Deal for Anthony Gordon

Desperate to Sign a Winger

The Lilywhites have been desperate to add a winger to their ranks and have moved quickly to sign the player on a deal that will see him stay at Deepdale until the end of the current campaign.

Gordon was linked with a number of other Championship clubs but it is PNE who have won out in the battle for his signature. He becomes yet another loan signing for North End – the fifth of the transfer window.

Experienced in the Premier League

Gordon has played in the Premier League for Everton and therefore has top tier experience that he can bring to the Lilywhites as they look to try and add more creativity in the final third of the pitch.

He has just the five starts for Everton in the league and one assist during his time there so far but Gordon will no doubt relish the chance for more regular first-team action and will be desperate to grasp it with both hands.

Preston Will Give Anthony Gordon First Football League Loan Spell

In fact, this move to North End marks his first loan spell away from the Toffees, so he will want to hit the ground running in the second tier of English football. He certainly showed signs of life at Everton; signs that he can become a top player when given the chance. At Preston, he’ll get that chance to showcase his talents in abundance as he looks to take the Championship by storm.
