Union Berlin Deadline Day: One in for Union
Union Berlin Add Striker Petar Musa
In what was a quiet deadline day for Union Berlin, striker Petar Musa joined the club. The Croatian, who has scored four times in six U21 appearances for Mladi Vatreni, arrives on loan until the end of the season.
His statistics are impressive. The young forward scored eight goals from 31 appearances while on loan at Slovan Liberec, following a solid loan spell with Viktoria Zizkov where he found the net 12 times in 37 outings.
After returning to Slavia Prague, Musa has scored 12 times from 36 appearances for the Fortuna Liga outfit.
Deadline Day Signing ‘Can’t Wait’ to Play in the Bundesliga’
Speaking to the clubs’ official website, Musa said: “I’m happy that the transfer to Union has gone through and I can’t wait to play in the Bundesliga.
“The team is having a great season so far and I want to help the guys be as successful as they can. I think I can integrate quickly and want to be on the pitch as soon as possible.”
Oliver Ruhnert, Director of Professional Football at Union Berlin, added: “With Petar Musa, we are closing up the hole in our forward positions and we are now adequately resourced with him. We are looking forward to seeing an exciting young player.”
Injuries at Union Berlin
With the likes of Max Kruse and Joel Pohjanpalo among the injured strikers at Union Berlin, the addition of Musa will be a welcome addition.
Die Eisernen travel to strugglers Mainz on Saturday before facing bottom club Schalke.
