Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Jamie Pardington has joined Mansfield Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The goalkeeper will be tasting EFL football for the first time in his career as he gears up to spend the rest of the season with the improving Stags.
Pardington arrives as Mansfield’s third signing in this transfer window as Nigel Clough looks to continue Mansfield’s push towards the play-offs.

Pardington Began His Career in Non-League
The talented young goalkeeper began his career in non-league playing for Rushall Olympic. His impressive performances for them earned him a move to Wolves in 2018.
Since then, he has played regular academy football for several of Wolves’ young teams including their U23s. He has also trained with the senior goalkeepers at the club, learning from Rui Patricio and John Ruddy.
The keeper was briefly loaned out to Dulwich Hamlet but this will be his first taste of the EFL. This move offers him a fantastic chance to get some first-team experience and enhance his football education.
He is joining a Mansfield side transformed since Nigel Clough took over as manager. The Stags are upwardly mobile and are very much in the promotion race. They sit 14th in League Two, eight points off the play-off places but with games in hand. The Stags are in rampant form too, winning their last five league games.
He could make his Mansfield debut against Bolton Wanderers tomorrow night- a key game for both as they look to push towards the play-offs.
Nigel Clough Pleased With the Arrival of Pardington
Speaking to the Mansfield website about their new signing, Clough said: “We wanted another goalkeeper to come in to give us some cover and Jamie fits the bill.
“We don’t have anyone between Aidan Stone and 17-year-old goalkeeper Maison Campbell. We needed someone in that age bracket to come in and train with the first team and we’re pleased to have Jamie on board.”
