Luton Town Sign Tom Ince and Elijah Adebayo on Deadline Day

Luton Town have bolstered their attack with the signings of Tom Ince and Elijah Adebayo.

Ince arrives on loan from Stoke City for the rest of the season while Adebayo joins on a permanent deal from Walsall for an undisclosed fee.

The duo arrive to enhance a Luton attack which has struggled to score goals consistently. The deals wrap up a busy transfer window for the Hatters.

Ince Arrives on Loan from Stoke City

Talented winger Ince has made just seven appearances for Stoke this season. His game time has been hampered by injuries and a slump in form. He joins Luton hoping to spark his season back into life.

He brings plenty of Championship experience having played for the likes of Derby County, Blackpool and Nottingham Forest. However, he has endured a difficult time at Stoke and a move to Luton offers a chance for Ince to recapture his form and the football we know he can produce.

Ince reunites with Luton manager  Nathan Jones who worked with the winger while he was in charge of Stoke.

Speaking about the signing of Ince, Jones said: “I’m delighted to get Tom down here.

“He’s a player I know very well from my time at Stoke. He’ll give us real quality in the final third and it just shows one, the ambition here, and two, the reputation we are starting to build, that we can attract him.

“I had a really good relationship with him when I was working with him at Stoke. He’s someone I rate really highly. He’s had a fantastic career, been promoted, been sold for a lot of money and played in the Premier League.

“Speaking to Tom as well, he’s really committed. He just wants to get back playing and he’s got the hunger to really do well, so he ticks all the boxes we look for in a new signing.”

Luton Confirm Arrival of Elijah Adebayo

Along with the signing of Ince, Luton have also captured the red-hot Elijah Adebayo. The striker is having his best-ever scoring season, notching ten league goals for Walsall in League Two.

He is a big, powerful striker who brings physicality and pace to the Luton attack.

Speaking about Adebayo’s arrival, Jones said: “We are delighted to get Elijah on board. He is someone who was coveted by a lot of clubs because he’s one that has massive, massive potential.

“He’s a big physical presence, something that we haven’t got, and he’s someone that we’ve been watching for a while.

“For us to get him shows that once again that we are not just content with signing players for now, but we are looking towards the future and he’s one that will develop here and hopefully become a top player for us.”

Both could make their debuts against Huddersfield Town this weekend.
