Nouble Returns Six Months After His First Spell Ended
The vastly experienced striker has been around the block in his career- playing for several clubs. He started in Chelsea’s academy but made his senior debut for West Ham United.
Since then, Nouble has played for several EFL clubs including Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, Gillingham, Ipswich Town, Coventry City and most recently Plymouth Argyle. Nouble only joined the Pilgrims in the summer but has struggled to settle in Devon.
He has featured 24 times in League One for Plymouth this season but has managed just one goal. Nouble has only started half of those and with the signings of Ryan Hardie and Niall Ennis, his game time at Home Park has become limited.
Nouble returns to a club he knows very well. He enjoyed two excellent seasons at Colchester United before leaving at the end of last season. The striker made 79 appearances in the league, scoring 14 times. But it was his style of play which suited Colchester perfectly.
His pace and physicality as well as his ability to bring players into games. The big striker is available for Colchester’s trip to Salford City tomorrow evening.
Steve Ball Believes Nouble Brings Something Different to the Colchester Attack
Speaking to the Colchester United website about Nouble’s return, manager Steve Ball said: “We all know what Frank can bring to the table, both on and off the pitch, and we’re pleased that he’ll be with us for the next few months.
“He adds that something different to our forward options and will be keen I’m sure to hit the ground running as soon as he steps foot on the pitch and the training ground.”
