Crankshaw Was a Regular From the Wigan Bench
The young midfielder was thrust into the first team this season due to Wigan’s financial issues. Their hand had been forced and the youngsters have impressed this season. Crankshaw fits this bracket and his midfield performances have won plaudits.
He has made 19 appearances in League One this season but only two of those have been starts. Leam Richardson has been regularly called upon Crankshaw from the bench but he will be hoping for game time in League Two with improving Bradford.
The Bantams are unbeaten since Mark Trueman and Connor Sellars took interim charge of the side. They have also reshaped an underperforming squad with Crankshaw the ninth new face to join.
He could make his Bradford debut against Exeter City this weekend.
Speaking to the Bradford city website about his move, Crankshaw said: “It feels great to be here and I am glad to have got the deal over the line. The offer was there and I really wanted to come to this club.
“There are some extremely positive things happening at Bradford City at the moment, and the morale around the place is great.
“This is such a big club and, when the opportunity came around, I took it with both hands. I want to play a big part, here, and help us get back to where we should be.
“I am looking forward to putting on the claret and amber shirt and giving all I can to help pick up some more victories.”
