Pickering Will Return to Crewe for the Rest of the Season
The talented full-back, perceived as one of the brightest talents in the EFL, has been with Crewe throughout his career, progressing through their ranks.
He made his senior debut at just 17-years-old in April 2017. Since then, Pickering hasn’t looked back, establishing himself as Crewe’s first-choice left-back. To date, he has made 127 league appearances for Crewe at just 22.
He was instrumental for the Alex during their promotion season in 2019/20, scoring three goals and setting up five others. He has carried that form into League One and continues to impress in an exciting Crewe side.
He has three goals and one assist this campaign and will get a chance to add to it before the season finishes. Crewe are very much in the race for back-to-back promotions. They sit 10th in League One, just three points off the play-off places.
David Artell will be pleased in more ways than one for the full-back. Completing a move to the Championship and managing to get him back for the rest of the campaign. He will link up with his new team in the summer but Blackburn will watch him closely over the next four months.
