The Striker Arrives After Scoring Four Goals in 13 Games for Stevenage
Oteh began his career at Tottenham Hotspur before moving to QPR in 2017. He has made a handful of appearances for the R’s but has mainly been loaned out over the past year with spells at Bradford City, Walsall and Stevenage before his latest to Colchester. He was the main striker in a struggling Stevenage side during the first half of the season. Oteh managed four goals in 13 league games for them before returning to QPR.
Oteh will go from fighting relegation to battling for promotion. He joins a Colchester side sat in 12th place in League Two. Steve Ball’s side are six points adrift of the play-offs after an indifferent run of results.
Oteh will add some much needed fire power to a Colchester side who struggle to score goals consistently. The U’s have managed just 28 league goals – only Morecambe have managed fewer of the sides in the top half of League Two.
Oteh will suit Colchester’s attractive style of play. He will look to use his pace to get in behind as well as link up with Callum Harriott and Jevani Brown. A consistent run of games at Colchester will certainly help his development further.
He impressed at Stevenage but now faces a challenge of a different kind. He will relish the chance to showcase his skills once again.
Colchester have confirmed Oteh is available to make his debut in their next game against Morecambe on Saturday.
