Erik Lamela is happy to stay at Tottenham Hotspur this transfer window and the club are happy to keep him too, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Despite claims to the contrary, the player is actually set to stay in England with Spurs and is quite happy to continue playing with the club.
Reports suggested that Lamela could be on his way out the Tottenham exit door whether this window or in the summer transfer window.
However, the winger is reportedly keen to stay at the Premier League side and isn’t on his way back to Serie A or Italy.

In addition, Jose Mourinho himself is believed to be happy to keep the 28-year old and the two are happy to work together going forward.
Lamela has been with the side since he was a young 21-year old. He’s spent a total of eight seasons in the Premier League with Spurs and has accumulated 161 league games since then and has bagged 16 league goals and 25 assists for them.
Career Began in the Serie A
He began his career in Serie A for AS Roma as a young 19-year old and impressed from the get go with ten goal contributions in 23 starts. He increased that to 19 goal contributions in 30 starts a season later and became one of the hottest properties in Europe.
It was Tottenham who eventually sealed his signature and he has since gone on to be one of the players to feature most prominently for Spurs, making over 150 league appearances for the club and contributing in more ways than one.
A return to Italy did seem likely for the player, with reports suggesting that he was on the way out of the exit door at Spurs and with teams in Serie A believer to be interested in his services but it now appears as though his future remains in England and in the Premier League.
