Florian Neuhaus and Denis Zakaria Added to Bayern Munich’s List of Summer Transfer Targets
Neuhaus Has Been a Fixture in the Borussia Monchengladbach Team
23-year-old Neuhaus has sparkled this season under Marco Rose. He has impressed in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League for the Foals. He is the creative spark in the midfield and certainly would bring something different to Bayern Munich midfield.
Neuhaus has two goals and one assist so far in the Bundesliga but it’s his abilities on the ball which will have drawn the attentions of Bayern Munich. The 23-year-old has an 85 per cent pass completion rate in the Bundesliga. His ability to move the ball quickly in transition allows him to set up the likes of Alassane Plea and Marcus Thuram in the attacking areas.
Should Bayern move for the talented German, he will compete with the likes of Thomas Muller, Corentin Tolisso and Leon Goretzka. He is very capable and will certainly fit into the Bayern midfield.
Despite an Injury Hit Season, Bayern Munich Still Hold Denis Zakaria in High Regard
Its been a difficult season so far for Switzerland international Denis Zakaria. The rock-solid defensive midfielder has battled with injuries. This has meant only two appearances in the Bundesliga and no Champions League action. He has missed out on Gladbach’s terrific performances in the Champions League.
However, despite his tough time with injuries, he is still held in high regard by Bayern Munich. He has been a fixture in the Gladbach team when fit. His ability to read the game as well as his athleticism and quality on the ball have made him on the best defensive midfielders in Europe. The 24-year-old is reaching the peak of his powers and certainly would bring further steel to an already strong midfield.
Should Zakaria become a Bayern Munich player, he will sit in the defensive midfield role possibly next to Joshua Kimmich. His arrival could also allow Kimmich to return to right back. Again like Neuhaus, Gladbach would command a significant fee for their prized asset.
