REPORT: Arsenal’s David Luiz and Dani Ceballos in Training Ground Bust-Up

According to David Ornstein and The Athletic, David Luiz and Dani Ceballos were involved in a training ground bust-up on the 13th November.

The Defender Left Dani Ceballos Bleeding From Scratch on His Nose

The punch-up is believed to have resulted in Ceballos bleeding from the nose due to a scratch on his face.

The scrap took place during an intra-squad friendly at Arsenal, to ensure that players not on international duty could retain their fitness during the break in club football.

Luiz Unhappy with Ceballos Tackle

Luiz was unhappy with a challenge that the on-loan Real Madrid man put in during the match and he duly delivered a punch to his nose in retaliation.

Before anything else could occur, teammates and staff rushed to split the two apart. Both were swiftly sent home.

The two have returned to training and have since apologised to the rest of the Arsenal squad for the altercation and preparations for the club’s next game against Leeds United are now well underway.

Arsenal Have Won Just Two of Their Last Five Premier League Games

Arsenal are currently sitting in eleventh place in the Premier League table, having won just two of their last five games in the league. Their most recent result was a humbling 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa and although they claimed three points against Manchester United before that, they were defeated a week earlier by Leicester City.

The last thing boss Mikel Arteta would want is fighting amongst his squad, as he looks to try and return the Gunners to the top four and Champions League football.

With an apology issued by both of the players though, he will be hoping to move on from this issue and instead focus on the battle to take his side higher up the league table.
