Cafu Arrives on Season-Long Loan
For an under-pressure Sabri Lamouchi, this could be a top addition to his squad. Cafu has had numerous amounts of success throughout his career, and he’ll be hoping to propel Forest up the Championship table.
In addition to his success in Greece, the 27-year-old also won the Ekstraklasa twice and Polish Cup during his time at Legia Warsaw.
Cafu has earned 27 Portugal caps at youth level and has experience in both the Europa League and Champions League.
What Forest Need
Forest have had a dreadful start to the new Championship season. Lamouchi’s side have lost all four league games, scoring just once and conceding seven goals along the way.
The arrival of Cafu should add protection to the defence, while also providing chances from the deeper area of midfield.
The 27-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided 15 assists from 204 appearances throughout his career, and he’ll be looking to add to those in Nottinghamshire.
Departures
Although Cafu has joined, Forest have allowed two players to leave the club. Yohan Benalouane has left Forest by mutual consent while Nuno Da Costa has joined Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron on a season-long loan.
