Juventus winger Douglas Costa is to re-join Bayern Munich on loan, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
The 30-year-old spent two years at Bayern Munich between 2015-2017. He then joined Juventus on loan for the 2017/18 season, before making that move permanent.
According to the report, Costa’s return to Bayern will not include any such option to buy.

Costa Had Been More Productive in Germany
European champions Bayern Munich have turned to Douglas Costa as they seek another option out wide.
Costa contributed a fair share during his time in Germany. The Brazilian had played a hand in 41 goals (14 goals, 27 assists) across his 77 appearances for the outfit.
Since moving to Juventus, he has been less productive in more appearances, with just 31 goal involvements in 103 games for the Serie A giants.
Costa does not feature prominently at Juventus, he’s a regular substitute in Turin. That has not changed since Andrea Pirlo’s appointment as manager either, with Costa featuring from the bench in games against Sampdoria and Roma already this campaign.
Last season, Costa scored three goals and provided seven assists for Juventus in his 29 appearances across all competitions.
No Stranger to a Successful Dressing Room
Bayern Munich opted not to sign Ivan Perisic on a permanent deal upon the expiration of his loan from Inter Milan. It may be that Costa will fill the void left by the Croatian. Bayern have a host of talent, that is part of the reason for them being European champions. Costa is no stranger to being in and around a successful dressing room, having lifted ten league titles in the last eleven years, so could represent the perfect addition for the club.
He will bring experience and talent, a reliable option on the wing too. As is always the case with a club of that stature, plenty of minutes will be afforded as they challenge on all fronts.
