Leeds United have reignited their interest in Manchester United winger Dan James, according to Phil Hay of The Athletic.
The Premier League newcomers were interested in James before he joined United in June 2019.

The Welshman had all but sealed a move to Elland Road on deadline day of the January transfer window in 2019.
Leeds had been courting his signature for much of the window, but negotiations were proving tough. However, deadline day saw a breakthrough, and James arrived in Yorkshire to complete the final parts of the deal.
The 22-year-old had completed his medical and all eyes were on Swansea City to give the go-ahead. However, the Swans pulled the plug in the final hour, meaning the Welshman had to remain at the Liberty Stadium.
James, though, did let the disappointment of not completing the move faze him. He enjoyed an impressive second half of the season with Swansea, scoring four of his five goals that season from January onwards.
His impressive form caught the eye of Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who moved quickly to secure his signature following the end of the season.
Pressure of Old Trafford
The 22-year-old has felt the pressure of Old Trafford since joining last summer.
He started superbly, scoring three goals in his first four appearances. However, his form slowly declined, and he registered one goal in his next 42 appearances for the Red Devils.
James’ subsequent form saw him lose his place to Mason Greenwood in the starting line-up. The Welshman reverted to a role as a substitute, more often than not replacing Greenwood in the latter stages of the second half.
A Loan Would Suit All Parties
A season-long loan would suit all parties involved.
James isn’t going to get regular minutes at Old Trafford and needs to leave to secure a first-team role. He will no doubt get that at Leeds, as Marcelo Bielsa is looking to secure another winger to provide competition.
