The pair have both agreed long-term deals, with midfielder Hayden signing a six-year deal, while Darlow has committed to a further five years.

Vital in Midfield
After joining the club from Arsenal in 2016, Hayden has proved to be a vital addition in the centre of midfield.
The 25-year-old has made 121 appearances during his four years with the club. He helped them secure an immediate return to the Premier League during his first season with the Magpies, and has helped maintain their Premier League status ever since.
Hayden shone under Steve Bruce last season in his role as a defensive midfielder. His performances saw him linked with a return to London, with both Crystal Palace and West Ham United reportedly interested.
However, he has now committed his future to the Magpies. Speaking about his new deal to the official Newcastle United website, Hayden said: “I’m delighted. It shows a lot of loyalty and commitment from both sides.
“It’s great to have agreed this before the start of the season and we can focus on getting the football right and getting as high up the Premier League table as we can.”
Further Five Years for Darlow
Despite being the second choice goalkeeper, Karl Darlow has committed to a further five years in the North East.
Following that title-winning Championship season, where he made 36 appearances for Newcastle, the 29-year-old has spent much of his time at Newcastle as second choice.
However, he will continue to provided competition to first-choice goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, and neither he or his manager Steve Bruce are fazed by that.
He said: “I’m really happy to have extended my stay. I’ve had five very good years and things are very positive here, especially with the new players coming in.
“There’s a buzz around the place and that’s great going into a new season. I’m happy to get sorted and give myself something to really get my teeth into.”
Bruce added: “I’ve been impressed with Karl. He hasn’t played a lot because of the performances of Martin Dúbravka, but he’s a very, very good goalkeeper and I’m delighted to tie him up.”
