Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot and Neco Williams Prove That Liverpool Have a Bright Future

It’s been a long time since it’s been this good for Liverpool. The Reds are champions of England, the World and Europe all at the same time. Yet, it might continue long into the future for Liverpool with young talents like Curtis Jones.

The young scouser highlights a youth class that has the potential to be world-beaters. Other players to watch for include Harvey Elliot and Neco Williams. Alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, these youngsters might just dominate the Premier League and European football for the foreseeable future.

Liverpool Trio Could Lead the Club Into the Future

Young Liverpool Player to watch: Curtis Jones

A scouse midfield general. For a long time, those words may have described the former legend, Steven Gerrard. But now that he’s gone, a new talented scouse midfielder has emerged in Curtis Jones.

Jones is an incredible player and he has already stamped his mark on the first-team. Fans voted for his unbelievable solo goal against Everton as the best strike in the FA Cup. And with the departure of Adam Lallana, he may get more of a chance to shine in the Premier League.

For many, it may be big pressure, but Jones has shown himself to be up to the task. In the League Cup against Arsenal, he scored the decisive penalty to win the game. This strike even impressed manager Jurgen Klopp.

“Curtis has no issue with self-confidence. Absolutely he doesn’t struggle with that! It’s nice, absolutely nice. I am really pleased for him,” the German said after Arsenal game.

And it’s this type of mental strength that will help Jones overcome the rigours of being depended on by his club next season.

Young Liverpool FC Player to Watch: Harvey Elliot

Harvey Elliot is a special player. After joining from Fulham last summer, the young midfielder has become noticed by fans.

Whenever he has had the chance, Elliot has dominated against older and more experienced players. He ripped apart MK Dons in the League Cup and was unlucky not to score.

Elliott has yet to have a chance in the Premier League, but former England international Scott Parker really believes in him.

“He is a technically gifted football player,” Parker said. “A special talent. He has got a naturalness about him, ease. He is very clean with the ball, can handle the ball very well for someone so young.

“Harvey has played all his career with kids his own age and now is probably the first time he is playing against men. Often you find that transition is very difficult for young players.

“But with him, you wouldn’t know and that’s probably the sign of a top player or someone who has the ability to be a top player because the transition he has made has been very smooth.”

And it seems like Anfield may be the perfect place for the young man to prove his worth.

Young Liverpool FC Player to Watch: Neco Williams

Neco Williams is in an odd position. The young right-back is super talented, but Liverpool already has Trent Alexander-Arnold, and he’s only 21.

But, it seems like Klopp wants to make it work for Williams. Last season, he played against Brighton as a left-back. It could be a sign that that’s where Klopp sees him in the future.

But that’s where Andrew Robertson plays and he’s one of the best in the world at his position. In addition, Liverpool just signed the young Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas.

But shortly after the Tsimikas signing, Liverpool awarded Williams with a new contract. It’s clear that he will have a place at Liverpool in the future.

It’s just a sign that under Klopp, Liverpool may be winning in the present, but the German has no plans of slowing down in the future.
