Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they have signed defender Tyler Blackett.
The 26-year-old was released by Reading following the expiry of his contract earlier this summer.
According to Paul Taylor of The Athletic, Blackett has signed a two-year at the City Ground.

Strengthening in Defence
The addition of Blackett will provide strength in depth to Sabri Lamouchi’s defence.
Blackett can play at both centre-back and at left-back, meaning he can act as cover for Gaetan Bong, who is the only other left-back in the first-team squad.
The 26-year-old began his career with Manchester United, where he made 12 appearances for the first-team squad. He was one of several youngsters to make their debuts for the Red Devils under Louis van Gaal in the 2014/15 season, as they Dutchman looked to change the direction of the club.
His debut came in the opening game of that season, which United subsequently lost to Swansea City.
During his time at Old Trafford, the versatile defender also enjoyed loan spells with Blackpool, Birmingham City and Celtic. Blackett’s spell with the former two stretched across the 2013/14 season, while his season-long loan with Celtic followed the 2014/15 season.
However, his time with Manchester United eventually finished in 2016, as he joined Reading on a four-year deal.
Blackett made 122 appearances during his time at the Madejski Stadium, and remained a key player throughout much of his four years with the Royals.
Forest Hoping for the Play-Offs Next Season?
A final day humiliation at the hands of Stoke City saw Sabri Lamouchi’s side just miss out on the play-offs.
However, they will be hoping to go one better in the 2020/21 campaign, and seal a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Blackett is the second player to make the move to the City Ground this summer. He joins Jack Colback in joining the Reds; however, Forest are also expected to confirm the signing of Lyle Taylor soon.
