AC Milan have started talks with Chelsea over signing Tiemoué Bakayoko. This would include an initial loan with the view of buying, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Chelsea midfielder spent time on loan at AC Milan in the 2018/19 season. He reportedly wants to return to the San Siro and looks set to return to the Serie A club.

Loan to Buy for Bakayoko
The initial loan for Bakayoko will cost Milan around €3 million. The option to buy the midfielder from Chelsea at the end of the loan spell will be around €35 million.
Chelsea reportedly offered the first bid for Bakoyoko from Milan. He played 42 matches for the Serie A club in his first loan spell with the club, scoring one goal.
Frank Lampard reportedly sees Bakoyoko as one of the players the club needs to offload this summer to fund further transfers.
Bakayoko’s First Team Opportunities
Twenty-five-year-old Bakayoko struggled to break into the Chelsea first team since his £40 million transfer from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in 2017.
The France international only played 43 matches for Chelsea in three seasons. Bakayoko enjoyed a solid breakthrough season in 2017/18, with all of his 43 appearances coming then.
But he has not featured for the Blues since 2018 when he played in the 1-0 FA Cup final win over Manchester United.
He spent time back at Monaco last season for a second spell on loan where he made 20 league appearances for his former club. But the season ended early due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
First-team opportunities for Bakayoko at Chelsea may be lacking next season. Frank Lampard wants to overhaul areas of his squad. The Blues boss reportedly wanted to transfer ten players.
Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for next season. Lampard also wants to replace goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and continues to search for a new left-back.
