Danny Rose Wants to Play in Front of the Tottenham Hotspur Fans Once More

Danny Rose

Danny Rose has admitted that he wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspur. The left-back has expressed his desire to at least play one more game as a farewell to the fans.

Danny Rose Is Happy to Stay at Tottenham Hotspur

Rose Will Play Out His Contract

It is already known that Rose plans on running down his contract with Spurs. He has been seemingly happy to go out on loan, as he did with his most recent spell at Newcastle United.

But, in his latest interview with the Second Captains Podcast, his words still suggested a love for the club, or at least for the fans.

Rose said “I am very happy to stay at Tottenham and see my last 10 or 11 months out, I would love to.

“There is nothing I want more than to play one more time in front of the fans.”

Loyal Yet Honest Servant

Danny Rose has been on the Spurs books since 2007. During this time he has played out on loan at Watford, Bristol City, Peterborough United, Sunderland and now Newcastle.

However, his best years came after the Sunderland spell. Under Pochettino, Rose would often play as a wing-back. His pace and stamina kept him bombing up and down the wing constantly. Unfortunately, injuries were also a part of his game that kept pegging him back and disrupting his form.

In his later career at Spurs, the player has not been shy to voice his opinions. He has taken many interviews with many different media outlets and podcasts. In such interviews, he has been scathingly honest with his criticism on the club. The most infamous example was his comments on the club’s transfer policy with The Sun.

Nevertheless, in his latest interview, he has made it clear that he really wants to play one more time for the Spurs fans.
