Crewe Alexandra Sign Striker Mikael Mandron

Mandron Arrives on a Free Transfer

Crewe announced via their website they had signed the striker. Mandron arrives on a free transfer from Gillingham after his Gills contract expired.

Mandron is a vastly experienced striker even at the age of 25. He began his career in the Premier League with Sunderland. Since then, the striker has played for the likes of Wigan Athletic, Colchester United and non-league Eastleigh.

He will join a Crewe side ready to make a big impression in League One. The Railwaymen are full of confidence following their promotion and will hope to carry that momentum into the new season.

Their attractive style of play will enhance League One and they are ready to make a statement. Mandron joins an already talented attack and will face stiff competition from the likes of Chris Porter, Charlie Kirk and fellow new recruit Offrande Zanzala.

Mandron brings something different to the Crewe attack. While he can hold up the ball to bring players in, he has the pace to get in behind. He can be the difference and David Artell is thrilled to have him on board.

Mandron Happy to Join

Speaking to the Crewe website about his move, Mandron said: “I am happy to be here.

“The key factor was the philosophy of the club, the way the club play. It’s a club really focused on playing good football.

“When I met with the manager he went into really good detail about how to do things here, how he sees football, how he sees me in the team.”
