Lincoln City have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Conor McGrandes, following the 24-year-old’s departure from MK Dons earlier this summer.

Area That Needed to Be Addressed
Attacking midfield was an area that needed to be addressed by the Imps this summer, following the departure of Joe Morrell.
Morrell, who spent last season on loan with Lincoln, was the most forward thinking player in the Lincoln midfield last season. He displayed excellent quality in carrying the ball forward, which resulted in him becoming a fans’ favourite.
However, the Welshman was only on loan. This was a problem for the Imps last season, with three of the central midfielders only temporary signings.
As a result, it was an area of the pitch that needed to be addressed by Michael Appleton.
What Was Said
Speaking about his move to the LNER Stadium, he said: “I’m really delighted to sign, my agent contacted me and mentioned Lincoln were interested which was something I wanted to explore and find out more about and I’m glad I did.
The move to Lincoln City offers Conor McGrandles the chance to play under a new manager, one of which he is looking forward too.
“I think he has a real plan for how his team play and he has a real plan for myself, which I think will suit my style,” he said about Imps boss Michael Appleton. “Hopefully with the style we’re going to play, I can also become a better player and make a contribution to the team.”
Furthermore, Appleton added: “Conor is a very talented attacking midfield player, who has a very good range of passing, especially in the final third. I’m very confident he will flourish in the environment we are going to create and I look forward to welcoming him into the squad.”
