Former Bournemouth Winger Jordon Ibe Could Make Turkey Switch

Little Game Time at Bournemouth

The winger has spent the last four seasons with the Cherries after securing a move from Liverpool. After originally featuring heavily for the Premier League side – a club he has played just under 100 games for – they have decided to let him leave for nothing this summer.

He only featured in two of the club’s games this season and with the club not prepared to offer him any more, he will now be on the lookout for a new team.

Celtic Also interested in Ibe

That new team could be Besiktas. The Turkish side are extremely interested in signing the Englishman and could tie up a deal to take him away from his home country this off-season.

They aren’t the only team to register an interest, with SPL holders Celtic are believed to be keen and sides from Portugal also monitoring the situation closely.

Derby were also believed to be eyeing a move for the 24-year old who has previously played for the Rams on loan. During his stint at the Championship club, he featured in 20 games and scored five goals.

Loan Spells and Liverpool First-Team

It wasn’t Ibe’s only loan spell either. While at Liverpool, he was also sent out on a short-term basis to Birmingham City, where he featured in 11 games and scored one goal.

He then went on to feature in 58 games for Liverpool, notching himself 11 goal contributions. In 2016, he then sealed a £16 million switch to Bournemouth where has resided ever since.

Ibe For England

The winger has also represented his country at Under-18, 19, 20 and 21 levels but has not actually had a call up to the senior side yet.

However, if he does make the move to Turkey, it could give him the chance to impress on a more frequent basis and then finally get a call-up to the England first-team.
