Hamilton’s Career
Despite being born in London, Hamilton came through the academy at Sheffield United, although he did not make a senior appearance for the club. While with the Blades, he spent the second half of the 2014/15 season on loan at FC Halifax Town and then the next campaign with Gateshead.
Following his release by Sheffield United, he was snapped up by Mansfield and that’s where his career took off. His performances in the 2018/19 season were rightly lauded, but the Stags ultimately missed out on automatic promotion to League One following a final day defeat to MK Dons.
Mansfield have struggled to replicate that form this season, leading to a decrease in output from Hamilton, but he was still one of the brightest sparks in the fourth tier and deserves his chance to perform in League One.

What Was Said?
Speaking to the club website about the move, Hamilton said: “I’m really looking forward to the future here and I can’t wait to get started.
“I enjoyed my time at Mansfield, but after speaking to Neil Critchley I knew I wanted to come to Blackpool. The vision that the Owner, Board and Head Coach have for the Club is hugely exciting and I’m hopeful we can deliver the goods come the end of the season.”
