The younger brother of Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier has died, the club have confirmed. BBC News report that Christian Aurier was shot dead outside a nightclub in the French city of Toulouse. He was found by emergency services with a gunshot wound to his stomach in an industrial area on the outskirts of the city.

The Incident
Emergency services arrived at the scene at around 5am (3am GMT) this morning, television stations in France are reporting.
Locals called the police when they found the victim lying on the ground with a stomach wound, and he was wounded by two gunshots which were fired at the nightclub.
Christopher Aurier
Christopher, 26, was the younger brother of Tottenham defender Serge and had played for local football team Rodeo Toulouse who, last season, played in France’s fifth tier.
He had previously turned out for Racing Club de Lens, Chantilly and Belgian side Rebecq.

A statement on Tottenham’s official Twitter account said: “The club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.
“Everybody at the club sends their sincerest condolences to Serge and his family. Our thoughts are with them all.”
