Arsenal have moved to secure the long-term future of another one of their young talents by giving Gabriel Martinelli an extended contract.

Martinelli Signs Long-Term Contract
Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new contract with the Gunners.
The forward has signed a reported four-year deal exactly a year on from signing for the North London club.
The agreement comes just days after the Mikel Arteta’s side tied down Bukayo Saka to a new deal.
The 19-year-old joined from Brazilian side Ituano for a fee of around £6 million exactly a year ago and has impressed on his debut season in English football.
The youngster is currently out with a knee injury and is unlikely to feature again this season; however, he has earnt many fans in his first season at the Emirates.
Despite battling for position alongside the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka he has more than held his own.
Since joining the Gunners he has scored 10 goals from 26 appearances; 11 of which came from the bench.
He has netted braces on three occasions, most notably in the 5-5 draw with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and against Standard Liege in the Europa League.
His goals tally makes him the first teenager to reach double figures for the club since Nicolas Anelka over two decades ago.
During his time at Arsenal, he has also made his debut on the international stage, featuring for Brazil’s under-23 side in November for the first time.
Arteta Heaps Praise on Youngster
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was full of praise for the starlet after he signed his new deal.
The Spaniard said: “I am very happy that Gabi has signed a new contract with us. He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude and work-rate.
“We are looking forward to getting him back to full fitness and to watching his development at our club.”
