Teenager Does Not Want to Stay
The departure of Ngakia will be a big blow to Hammers manager David Moyes. The youngster has impressed in his time in the first-team and he could have been key to their Premier League survival.
Despite being involved against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ngakia missed out on the trip to Tottenham Hotspur amid strong links to fellow Premier League side Watford.
A club statement said: “In line with our structure and policy, Ngakia was offered significantly improved terms to reward his breakthrough into the first-team squad this year, along with further contractual enhancements linked to his future progress and success.
“However, the player and his representatives declined to accept any of the offers, and also turned down a short-term extension until the end of the current season.”
Older Pair Also Depart
Former Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta leaves the club after making 80 appearances in his three seasons. His solitary goal since joining in 2017 came in an FA Cup win against League One side Gillingham.

The Argentine was offered a short-term contract extension until the end of the season. However, he declined this due to injury.
Sanchez leaves having made only 18 appearances across his two seasons. He suffered a serious knee injury shortly into his first campaign and failed to make a mark on the squad once he returned.
