Two Premier League players have tested positive for Coronavirus in the league’s latest round of testing. Bottom club Norwich City have confirmed that they received one of the positive tests but have not revealed who the player is. Neither the second player or their club has been confirmed.

Norwich Player Self-Isolating
Norwich have confirmed that their player is self-isolating, in line with the current government guidelines. They will be in that isolation period for seven days and they must return a positive test before they are allowed to return to training.
The self-isolation period means they will miss Norwich’s game against Southampton next Friday.

Eighth Round of Testing Complete
This latest round of testing was the eighth conducted by the Premier League. There were 1,200 tests conducted.
The first seven rounds of testing returned 14 positive tests and 7,474 negative tests.

One Week to Go
The Premier League returns this week when Sheffield United visit Aston Villa and Manchester City host Arsenal on Wednesday.
There is then a one-day gap before Norwich’s home game against Southampton and the fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United on Friday.
Watford v Leicester City is the first game on Saturday before Brighton & Hove Albion host Arsenal. West Ham United v Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth v Crystal Palace finish off the day’s action.
Chelsea’s first game back will be a trip to Aston Villa on Sunday and the evening finishes with the Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool.
