Liverpool youngster Owen Beck has signed his first professional contract. The 17-year-old becomes the latest in a long line of academy players to sign professional deals with the Reds.

Liverpool announced via their website teenager Beck had signed his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old becomes the latest academy graduate to commit their long-term future to Liverpool. Predominantly a left-back, Beck has sparkled during his time in the academy with many of the coaches giving him the license to go forward.
Beck hails from Flint in North Wales and joined the Reds from Stoke City. He went into their U13s and has progressed through the academy.
Beck glistened in a thunderous Merseyside derby win for Liverpool and notched a vital winner in a game against Southampton.
He has represented Wales at several youth levels and will hope to catch the eye of Wales manager Ryan Giggs in the near future.
Beck was also part of the Liverpool U19s side which took part in the UEFA Youth League.
Beck Becomes the Latest Youngster to Turn Professional at Liverpool
Owen Beck’s professional contract continues to highlight Liverpool’s determination to bring through talent and show there is a chance to play for the main team.
Beck joins the likes of Remi Savage and James Norris in signing their first professional deals, while other youngsters including Abdi Sharif have extended their deal.
Liverpool are showing there is a pathway to the first team. Certainly, Jurgen Klopp will be keeping an eye on the academy. The likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Pedro Chirivella have shown their abilities in cup matches this season.
Jones, in particular, has sparkled on the big stage and Beck will hope to make his professional debut for the Reds in the near future.
